For athletes who choose to compete in Division 1, the rewards are exciting but comes with a price. If you choose to attend a large university, the competition is very competitive and your priority will be the team you play for. There will be many practices, training, travel and let’s not forget, study. For the next four years, you are devoted to the team and your teammates.

Like Division 1, the competition is at a high level but the commitment allows more of a balance. Training, study and personal time is spread out more evenly and is attractive for many athletes. If you are not sure if you can commit to a Division 1 level, Division 2 should be a consideration.
